The Results Are In -- It's A Girl!

We weren't going to find out at first, but my impatience got the best of me. I am happy we found out because now we have some preparing to do for our little girl. I'm so excited to go shopping for little girl clothing, hunt for names, and enjoy the wonders of being pregnant (most days).

We had the ultra sound last night, everything looks great. Here are the promised pics:

Feeling Movement

It is always nice once the nausea stops to feel the baby move.  Without symptoms it always makes me anxious for the next doctors appointment.  Tonight I have been feeling the baby move-swim is more like it-and it feels wonderful.

Long Awaited Update

Today marks 16 weeks.  I went to the doctor yesterday and everything is looking good. The baby's heart beat is between 155 and 160.  Since my first appointment I've managed to lose 2 lbs and keep it off-haven't gained anything (thank goodness).

Anyway-We will be going for our ultra sound in 4 weeks and will have clearer pictures of the baby, for now here are the 8 week photos taken 8 weeks ago. They may be a little tough to make out-scans-but here is the little bean.

Official News

We are pregnant with Baby Davis #2.  Our growing Baby is due May 10, 2011. Smack in the middle of finals week! (ha ha) We are really excited and hope that all will continue to go well.

I am in the end of my 7th week and will have my 8 week appointment next Wednesday and the first official picture of our little one.

Micah Jr insists that there is "No Baby" but his actions speak otherwise every time he is around the babies at work. He loves on them and wants to hold them.  So we have no doubt that he will be ready when the time comes.  He is going to be a great Big Brother.

For those thinking it, no we will probably keep the sex of the baby a mystery just as we did with Micah Jr until the delivery.  As I think back to the moment of birth there was nothing more sacred to me than having Micah be the one telling me the we have a baby boy.  So(as much as I want to know), this time around it will be just as wonderful to wait until that precious moment once again.

So sorry to disappoint. You'll just have to eagerly await the news and pictures like last time. (Sorry Mom)

Work in Progress

Summer is over. Another semester has begun.  Micah and I are in the thick of it again. Good news; we are moving to Westminster and Micah Jr will have his own room! Thank goodness-he needs it.

Blogging lately hasn't happened-sorry about that-but there will be more to come. I'm a work in progress, we have lots of pictures to update you with, such as Micah's birthday party, our fun trip to the zoo, and as usual randomness.

Fun new things approaching! Stay tuned.

JULY 30, 2010

MICAH JR. is 2!
Hard to believe isn't? Micah and I have a two year old son. He has grown so much from the little baby he was two years ago. Makes me realize how grateful I am for the time we have with him now. He learns so quickly, remembers things we hope he'd forget, is adventurous, loves animals (those kicks are just love taps), will climb anything he can, tells us "No, Mommy" and "No, Daddy" when he wants us to stop doing something-or just because he feels like it-and loves to have his daddy read him books every night before bed. In which, he is now officially in his big boy bed (we took off the railing)-he learned how to climb out and didn't forget how to do it when he woke up in the dead of night, so it came off). He has such a sense of humor, hopefully I'll get to posting more pictures so that humor will come through the photos. We are blessed with this little one. We thank our Heavenly Father everyday for blessing us with him in our family.

ah...love it. Being a mommy is wonderful and more fulfilling than I'd ever imagine-even during the moments I want to pull my hair out.
His party is tomorrow, so I'll be posting the pics as soon as I'm done with my math final.  For now enjoy some of these blasts from the past and recent activity:

What a journey it has been!
